Days of Our Lives: Why is Melanie getting blamed for Nick snapping?

I know, I thought that was odd too! Stephanie and Chelsea were such beootches! "Aren't you going to say anything?" Um, did they forget that Melanie's dad died (I know he was a jerk) and that Nick killed him, blamed her, took her away and then she almost died? I think they also forgot that a) Chelsea killed her brother and b) chelsea killed that fraternity boy and they all covered up the murder! You'd think they'd not be so judgmental of criminals. Melanie is not the first person to lie and take advantage of a good person. That doesn't make her a good person but it's not a crime. Chelsea and Steph are stupid. I actually liked Steph when she was w/ Jeremy. At least she had a personality and smiled sometimes. Now she just whines and looks sad about her uous breakup and her boyfriend/brother's sister.
