Thinking about joining the Australian Federal Police's Tactical Unit?
The Specialist Response and Security group, is the AFP's elite Special Operations/Tactical Unit. I was wondering if I should join it, firstly, is selection physically and mentally taxing, allot like Special Forces selection , and what could I expect in the selection and training phase. Along with typical SWAT work would I also be involved in Counter terrorism operations and protection of V.I.P's and other jobs regularly. Also what's the pay and lifestyle, for example, I heard a rumour they do something like three hours in the gym a day. P.S. I was also thinking if it would be easy to transition to the O.R.G. , the international version of this group, and what sorts of jobs can I expect there. Appreciate the Help!!:) B.T.W. Don't mistake this for the SAS.
