Split skin between/underneath pinky toe?

I was soaking my feet and when I went to put lotion on it, I realized that there's a large tear in the skin between my pinkie toe and the toe next to it, it's right underneath the pinkie toe. I don't think it's ringworm because there's no sign of a 'ring', it stings something terrible and it also itches. I put lotion on it, but that seemed to make it sting more. Any suggestions?
